Buy-in parties are another RHS tradition that families can use to support our annual fundraiser. Buy-in parties are events sponsored by RHS families around a theme (e.g. Halloween Party, Rooftop Fiesta, Cooking Class, Wine Tasting, Sailing Excursion, etc.).
We have a great selection for parents and kids. These parties and events are offered with a
limited number of fixed price tickets on a first-come, first-served basis. Don’t miss out on old
favorites or new experiences. Sign up right after check-in.
1. A NIGHT AT THE SYMPHONY
Join Metta Krach and 5 other RHS parents in a private box at Davies Symphony Hall! Enjoy a
performance with Susan Graham and the San Francisco Symphony of
Schubert’s Nachtgesang im Walde and Schumann’s tumultuous Fourth and final symphony.
Savor dinner, cocktails and laughs beforehand at Monsieur Benjamin across the street.

2. FABULOUS FOOD & WINES
Join 20-year wine industry veteran Don St. Pierre and his wife Monica at their home in
Pacific Heights for an evening enjoying great wines from their private cellar. The selections
will be paired with a delicious meal prepared by an excellent Bay Area chef.

3. AN EVENING OF WINE TASTING AT DISTRICT
Join us for a fun wine tasting event hosted by District Sommelier and Wine Director,
Caterina Mirabelli. Sample new wines poured by the Sommelier at District Wine Bar, which
has one of the city’s most extensive tasting menus. Feast on 4 courses of small plates
custom picked for pairing. Bonus: Blind wine tasting hosted by your dedicated Sommelier.

4. FAMILY BOWLING PARTY
The last annual RHS bowling party! Bring your family and join the Renaudins and the
MacGregors at Presidio Bowl. The kids will babysit themselves while enjoying bowling,
pizza and delicious cupcakes. Parents will enjoy cocktails and attempt a modicum of
conversation while trying to keep the kids out of the bowling lanes. All ages welcome. Price
includes cocktails and appetizers for the adults and dinner for the kids.

5. BENEFIT BEAUTY BASH
Enjoy a girls’ night out with RHS! Come be pampered at a private party at Benefit on
Fillmore Street. While sipping wine and catching up with friends, get your make-up done
and have a treatment (lash tint or eyebrow wax). This is a great way to freshen up your look
and have some time for yourself!

6. HALLOWEEN PARTY
What kid wouldn’t love another opportunity to wear his or her Halloween costume? The
Huger Family is offering a repeat of their fantastic Halloween bash, complete with activities,
entertainment and spooky decorations. Up to 12 families are invited to join the party, with
games for the kids and cocktails for the adults!

7. HOLIDAY COOKIE FUN
Help your child get into the holiday spirit with a cookie making party! Kids will get to bring
home some treats, while you treat yourself to some time to get organized as this is a drop
off party. Older siblings welcome.

8. JEWELRY MAKING PARTY
Visit Alice Roche’s Jewelry Studio-in the Mission. The kids will get an introduction to
metalsmithing - learning about materials, tools and safety. They will make a pendant
necklace (for themselves or to give to an adult) and have a chance to draw various ideas for
jewelry design. Parents may drop off their child or are welcome to stay at the studio (adult
and kid beverages provided). We will have adult help on hand.

9. ZAZA MANI/PEDI PARTY

10. FAB LAB PARTY AT THE BAY AREA DISCOVERY MUSEUM
Explore the nation’s first early childhood Fab Lab at the Discovery Museum - opening in
May! In this high-tech maker space, kids have the opportunity to explore digital design and
fabrication through facilitated activities with tablets, design software, laser cutters, robots
and more. Guests have access and full use of all Museum exhibits and programs for the day.
